We have had many questions and concerns regarding if we have contingency plans. We are fairly positive in many instances it will be safer to stay put and let the Public Safety Officials tell us what the better option is. We don't feel it would be safe walking children place to place. We have plans in effect for various situations, but the only true way to deal with these types of situations is to experience them first hand. We have monthly drills in which the children evacuate the building quickly and orderly. Some schools have asked parents to have an extra backpack filled with items needed in case of an emergency. We do not rule this option out, we leave it up to the discretion of the parents.
